T is hard to believe it is November already.
But if you are looking for things to do in Warrington over the next month, there is plenty to choose from.
From fireworks to ice skating and Christmas fairs to art exhibitions, there is lots to divert the attention from the General Election.

BONFIRE NIGHT > VARIOUS DATES AND VENUES ACROSS WARRINGTON
This weekend and next is dominated by firework displays across Warrington.

THE LONGBARN RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR New Horizons School, Fallowfield Grove, November 1 Entry is by donation and free for children, with gates open at 5pm and a fireworks display taking place at 7.30pm. The evening will also feature a bonfire, fairground rides and refreshments.
BIG LYMM BONFIRE Cherry Tree Primary School, Hardy Road, November 2 Doors open at 6pm, kids’ fireworks display at 6:45pm and main fireworks display at 7:30pm
GULLIVER’S November 2 The fireworks display is scheduled for around 7.15pm
STOCKTON HEATH BONFIRE AND FIREWORK DISPLAY Stockton Heath Scout Centre, November 2 Gates open at 6.30pm, bonfire at 7pm and fireworks at 8pm. There will also be a licensed bar, food and a barbecue on offer.
THELWALL PARISH HALL DISPLAY Bell Lane, November 2 Gates open at 5pm, bonfire lit at 6pm, fireworks at 6.45pm. There will also be children’s rides and food available
PENKETH PRIMARY SCHOOL November 2, gates open at 6pm Hot and cold refreshments with food by Snoutwood Trotters THE KINGS CLUB St Mary’s Street, November 2, free Doors open at 6pm, display at 7pm
SPOOKY WORLD BONFIRE NIGHT Apple Jacks Adventure Park, Stretton Road, November 2, 6pm to 9pm £8 and children under 90cm are free
THE HALLIWELL JONES STADIUM November 5 Doors open at 5.30pm, and the fireworks set for 7.30pm.
MUSICAL FIREWORK EXTRAVAGANZA Twiss Green Primary School, Culcheth, November 8 Gates open at 6.30pm, fireworks are at 7.30pm. There will also be fairground rides, hot drinks and food by The Raj
BROOMFIELDS JUNIOR SCHOOL Appleton, November 9.
Gates open at 6pm. Firework display at 7.30pm.

LIGHT SWITCH-ON Golden Square November 8
Get ready for Christmas with the ever popular free switch-on at Golden Square
The fun starts from 5pm with the entertainment between 6pm and 7pm
The Greatest Showman is this year's theme with a fire performance, aerial acts and Santa
CHRISTMAS FAIRS > Across Warrington, various dates
Fairs are taking place across town from mid November. Here is a small selection
Residents are invited to attend Latchford Methodist Church throughout the day on November 16 to enjoy a free Christmas fair.
Various stalls are on offer with refreshments and lunches being served, together with a guest appearance from Wolfie, the Warrington Wolves Mascot.
A Christmas fair with a difference takes place in Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden.
The Warrington Creative Collectives fair runs on Saturday, November 16 from 11am until 4pm.

Start your Christmas shopping early at the St Elphin's Church craft fair.
Held on Saturday, November 23 from 11am until 3pm, the grand raffle will be drawn at 2.30pm.

ICE RINK Golden Square from November 22
A real ice rink called Icescape is coming to the Old Market Square from Friday, November 22 to Saturday, January 5 – replacing last year’s Christmas teepee as the main festive attraction in Warrington town centre.

ERIC TUCKER: THE UNSEEN ARTIST Warrington Museum and Art Gallery from November 23
Features work by Warrington artist Eric Tucker, whose prolific talent came to light after his death. Family members discovered several hundred paintings and thousands of drawings while clearing out his home. He has been dubbed Warrington’s ‘secret Lowry’ in recognition of his chosen topic – working-class life in a northern town
The free exhibition runs until February
STOCKTON HEATH CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH-ON November 29
The switch-on takes place on Friday evening at Victoria Square followed by festive fairs across the centre of the village afterwards
